“… on average, students in online learning conditions performed better than those receiving face-to-face instruction.”

CyberLearning, a project of the National Education Foundation (NEF), was established
as a non profit e-learning/blended learning organization in 1993, Currently,
CyberLearning is the global nonprofit leader in bridging the digital, academic
and employment divides. Its primary projects are:
1. K-12 Education – Currently, CyberLearning provides
online Math Homework Help to a million students in 528 disadvantaged school
districts and operates CyberLearning Academies in 28 poor school districts.
Our goal is to set up CyberLearning Academies in most disadvantaged schools
in the U.S. by 2020.
2. Workforce Development – Currently, CyberLearning
offers scholarships for job training to a million unemployed/underemployed
U.S. jobseekers in areas ranging from IT and Business to Project Management
and Office.
3. Corporate Training – CyberLearning provides top-quality
online or blended (online + onsite) training with a money back guarantee to
corporations, helping them to save significant funds in training, offset and
recruitment. CyberLearning clients have included global leaders Lockheed,
Wipro and Reliance. Funds generated from corporations are used to subsidize
CyberLearning’s education programs for the disadvantaged.

Information Technology Education) project aims to train, certify and place
in IT jobs a million disadvantaged Indian youths, especially women.

Mentoring
and Motivation
 |
Our experience and research studies show that Mentoring and Motivation are two of the most cost-effective ways for improving student skills and scores. Yet, public schools generally have no funds for these in their budget items. Hence, NEF has made it a policy for providing schools/school districts with funds to set up effective mentoring and motivational programs in every CyberLearning academy. NEF encourages you to utilize our mentoring and motivation budget to mentor students as they start falling behind in the class, and motivate students, teachers and parents to work as a team to help improve student skills and scores. |
