Introduction The Internet can be an overwhelming place for teachers. One of the reasons is that the Internet is jammed with a variety of teacher resources and we have no real way of telling much about their quality let alone their usefulness. To avoid this problem and to assist our teachers find the very best materials we have focused on three things:
We invite you to send your own resources to us—please send them to Dr. William Diehl at wdiehl@nefuniversity.org with any comments you might have. The resources on this page are general resources for the CyberLearning Academies.
Math Academy There are many great materials for Math Teachers. One of the “breakthrough resources” that has been given a lot of exposure in the media is the Khan Academy tutorial videos. You only see one displayed here but there are hundreds of others to choose from at http://www.khanacademy.org/. The following federal government site is the most comprehensive collection of science, technology, engineering and math resources ever assembled. We also recommend the excellent collection of Math Games assembled by PBS http://www.pbs.org/parents/cyberchase/lessons/games.html
We invite you to send your own resources to us—please send them to John Simmons at jsimmons@nefuniversity.org IT Academy It is essential that students have access to a high quality computer security curriculum and we have selected the best free resource in this regard provided by CyberSmart—owned by CommonSense Media.
We invite you to send your own resources to us—please send them to John Simmons at jsimmons@nefuniversity.org Science Academy We want to draw your attention to arguably the most comprehensive set of resources ever provided for science teachers.
